Everest Luxury Festival Trek

The must-visit Tibetan Buddhist shrines of the Everest Region are Tengboche Monastery, Pangboche Monastery, and Khumjung Monastery. Tengboche Monastery is the largest whereas Pangboche Monastery is the oldest in the entire Khumbu Region.

The Sherpa festivals such as Dumje and Mani Rimdu are celebrated with zeal and zest in the premises of these shrines. Both these festivals are observed on different dates in different years according to the Tibetan Calendar.

Dumje, also called the Harvest Festival, is celebrated between the last half of May and the first half of June. Similarly, Mani Rimdu Festival Trek is the most colorful festival of the Sherpa Community.

It falls around the full moon of the ninth Tibetan month. According to the Gregorian calendar, Mani Rimdu Festival falls in October or November full-moon. It is a 19-day festival; however, the last three days are the major days. The monks act upon masked dances in traditional Sherpa music at the monastery premises of the Khumbu Region.

For those desiring to observe and become a part of these festivals, Everest Festival Trek is also organized yearly. Thus,  Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek is one of the famous festival treks in Nepal.

Testimonials

I had the privilege of meeting Sujan in 2013 along the Annapurna circuit. When you meet someone incredible, it's impossible to forget them. Despite just meeting him randomly along the trail, he made a very positive impression on both my wife and me, who think fondly of our conversations and interactions. He has a wealth of wisdom and experience, not just in the mountains but in interacting with people all over. He's got an unquenchable heart for people and his country, which he shares well with anyone in his company. When we do go back, he will be one of those people we must meet again. It's not a surprise that he has started a reputed guiding organization. It's about time! I would highly recommend Sujan and would even provide a back guarantee for anyone who does not have a stellar experience with him.
