Trek Overview

Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek takes you around Mt. Annapurna (8,091m), close to Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m). Annapurna is the world’s 10th highest peak and the first 8,000er ascended by human beings

A French expedition team led by Maurice Herzog reached the Annapurna Summit on 3 June 1950. Fortunately, it has been ascended by a team of six Nepali Women including a photojournalist on 16 April 2021.

Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek (4,130m) is a moderately adventurous trip across the Machhapucchre Valley and the Annapurna Sanctuary. As its route moves along the Annapurna Sanctuary, it is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek as well.

The biodiversity of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) lures everyone visiting this region. Various animals and birds play hide and seek with you while moving to and from Annapurna Base Camp.

Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek 2024 Trail goes across the ethnic-cultural villages of the Annapurna Region. The Gurung, Magar, Kshetri, Brahmin, and many more ethnic villages reflecting their typical culture and tradition are just wonderful!

These people are friendly and dedicated to providing the best quality services to the international tourists visiting their area. Annapurna Region trekking is completely a teahouse trekking in Nepal.

It is popular for better accommodation and food services among tourists. The teahouses and lodges provide varieties of cuisines ranging from the typical Nepali to Continental and Indian. Cafes and bakeries are also established en route to Annapurna Base Camp.

Some of the villages have run homestay sites that not only provide organic food items but also perform cultural shows. To entertain their guests, the Mothers’ Group performs traditional dances in their cultural music in the evening.

Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek 2024

Short Annapurna  Base Camp Trek moves along the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world’s deepest gorge across the classic villages. Leaving the Machhapuchhre Valley behind, it takes you to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m).

Machhapuchhre Base Camp is one of the vantage points of the entire Annapurna Trekking Region. From the base camp of Mt. Annapurna (8,091m), you can have some grandeur sunset and sunrise views of the world.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of shape do I need to be in, is this trip for me?

Annapurna base camp trek is suitable for average people who are moderately fit, thus no previous experience is required. Some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, hiking is recommended before you embark on your journey.

Persons suffering from a pre-existing medical condition must seek medical advice/consent before considering the trek. Whilst on the trek, it is common to experience some discomfort before being fully acclimatized.

To prepare for this trek you should begin training at least two to three months before your departure. As a guideline, an hour of aerobic exercise three to four times per week would be considered a minimum requirement. The best preparation is bushwalking involving relatively steep ascents and descents. If you can manage a couple of valley floor to ridgeline ascents per comfortable and able to enjoy the trek to the fullest. They are physically strong, sharp-witted, and have an incredibly positive attitude towards a life that we would consider extremely tough. There is something about a trek in the Himalaya that draws you back time and time again. For keen walkers, it is a paradise and even avowed non-walkers find that one foot just seems to follow the other, drawn by the appeal of what lies beyond.

Will somebody come to pick me up at the airport upon my arrival?

Yes, our airport representative will be there to greet you at the airport. S/he will be displaying our company signboard outside the airport terminal. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in our tourist vehicle.
